The right story
Why I write
I didn’t start writing because I wanted to be a copywriter.
I started writing because life gave me something I needed to put into words.
When my husband Matt was diagnosed with MND, I began sharing what was happening to our family. The big things, the little things, the heartbreaking things and, somehow, still plenty of funny things.
And somewhere along the way, I realised something.
Our stories are precious.
A bit about me
I’m Bianca — a mum, a writer and a collector of people’s stories.
I’m endlessly curious about people — where you’ve been, who you’ve loved, what you’ve built, what nearly broke you, what makes your family laugh and the story you always tell after a couple of wines.
I don’t think you need to be famous, extraordinary or have lived some enormous life for your story to matter. Quite the opposite.
I think ordinary lives are full of extraordinary stories.
So bring me the memories. The voice notes. The old photographs. The half-remembered stories. The messy timelines.
I’ll listen. And then I’ll find the words.
